Fall TRs require sign-on for telnet printer sessions
The 7.6 TR3 and 7.5 TR9 enhancements add authentication to telnet printer sessions: a user name and password or Kerberos is now required, and a user can print only to devices and output queues they are authorized to. Find every printer and emulator that opens an unauthenticated telnet print session before the PTFs go on, give each one a named profile with only the output queue authority it needs, and read IBM's Memo to Users before you schedule the install.
