At TechXchange, IBM set Bob for IBM i alongside Bob for Java and Bob for Z as premium packages for modernizing core applications, and its speakers argued that agents need their own identity and that a person stays accountable for what they change. Let Bob propose RPG and Db2 for i changes on a branch, keep every change in source control behind a named reviewer, and lock reviewed programs with the fall TRs' new compile option so nothing slips in after sign-off.
