Mastercard brings Agent Pay to OpenAI and calls one-time virtual cards a bridge

Mastercard signed a broad partnership with OpenAI that covers Agent Pay, which tokenises the credential, checks that the buyer authorised the agent, and records what the buyer intended. Mastercard says one-time virtual card numbers are only a bridge, so an IBM i shop taking agent orders should key the order record in Db2 for i to the network token and the intent record, not to a throwaway card number.
