Read-only MCP access to Db2 for i arrives as open source
An open-source MCP server now lets AI tools query Db2 for i, and it ships read-only. Treat that as the floor, not the control: run it under a dedicated user profile with authority only to the views you choose, so IBM i security enforces the boundary instead of the server.
