Walmart lets shoppers cap agent spend, with approval on by default
Walmart's new Agent Profiles let a shopper authorize an agent and set a spending cap, with per-purchase approval as the default, while an MCP-based Agent Gateway in limited beta lets agents search, cart and buy without ever seeing card details. If your IBM i order entry will take agent orders, build the same split now: the agent proposes the cart through a scoped API, and a named person's approval or a recorded cap commits it to the order file.
